Lex 1

My family came to my show at the Holmes Public Library - and Lex had a blast.  I have to admit, it melts my heart to see my little girl enjoying my stories like this.

This little girl really has made my life better in so many ways.  I am thankful everyday for such a happy, pretty and joyful little girl.

good-bye mainland

I was more than thrilled when the Montessori Children’s House of Nantucket called and invited me to the island to tell some stories.  They were having their annual fundraiser and they provide a day full of crafts, music and of course - Big Ryan!

The trip over, as cold as it was, was still beautiful and wild.  I had never been in a plane so small - but it was so worth it!  It’s like a 15 minute roller-coaster :)  I am sure it has a lot to do with the weather, as it was quite blustery along with the bitter coldness!

The Giggling Crowd

I have a cousin who lives on the island who came to show me around while waiting for my shows to begin.  The best part thus far was meeting her little pup, Fiona.  But before I knew it the afternnon had arrived and it was time to tell some stories!  I could not have asked for a better crowd - a room full of happy children - all ready to play and laugh along with my Tall Tales!

I am going to be in Nantucket - just for the day - to tell my stories.  I have never been so I am pretty excited.  I will make sure to post pics when I get back!

Come get out of this dreary weather with a Big Ryan show at one of my favorite local libraries!  The Holmes Public Library in Halifax!  Make sure to be there a bit early to get a good spot!  Click on the image to get more info.

I am going to be putting on a Big Ryan spectacular show at the Book Shack located in the Independence Mall, Kingston, MA.  Located where the old Borders Book store was - this new beautiful space has plenty of room for the kids to come and enjoy some fantastic stories!  Also, my CDs will be available to purchase at the Book Shack - starting TODAY!!  If you have yet to buy one - go now and shell out the clams!  It will be well worth it!  I promise!

 getting her hair

I took Lex to get her very first hair cut.  It was a little emotional… for both of us.  But the lady who cut her hair was so fantastic - very sweet and made Lex feel comfortable.  The hardest thing was watching as the woman cut her bangs.  It really made her look older - changed the look of her whole face.

The new bangs

She looks so beautiful with her new haircut.  My favorite part is that she no longer has her hair in her face.  It was bothering her - and now it doesn’t!

the reveal!

Big Ryan Sign

Here are a few shots from the Norwell Library show from last week!  I had a wonderful time telling “The Little Pocket Snowman” even though there really had not been any snow up to that point this winter.

Wolf And Moose sending the winter vibes

Wolf and Moose also made an appearance and kept the kids laughing!
