The Flint Library hosted The Unfortunate Passing of Pliant McTwist: A Murder Mystery! The children who arrived certainly came to play! Fierce competition as the kids “interrogated” the suspects and played faced the challenges that awaited them!

Each group did such an amazing job completing the games, including the physical challenges of yoga poses!

Ultimately, it was these two young players who finished sifting through the evidence and pointed out the real culprit! Congratulations to these young men for earning their badges!

And a huge thank you to the other teams for finishing us solve the case!

I am looking forward to this event happening at the Carver Library starting the last week of February. Make sure to scan the QR code and register now! Can’t wait to see everyone there!

Sometimes I get small surprises when visiting some of my favorite places! Like this painted rock greeting me at the Truro Library last week!

And, for the record, it did make me feel like I was okay!

If you’re looking for something to do this vacation week – something AMAZING! – then you’ll want to make your way to one of the shows that I will be presenting during February vacation week! Pleasant St in Plymouth. It was the third school I was employed at after the Discovery Center and then working at the Head Start program in Plymouth. I still get to see a few of the people I worked with some twenty years ago. As the saying goes, You can never go home again” but let me tell you, it feels fantastic to visit!

An exciting experience brought to you by Big Ryan’s Tall Tales! Everyone loves Mystery Rooms and now children 7-16 can partake in a real life mystery! These Traveling Mystery Rooms are open to all ages (ages 7-9 with parental assistance) and include riddles, observation and memorization puzzles, physical challenges, as well as games promoting math and geography!

I have been getting a lot of inquiries about how the rooms run and what kind of space is required. I can fit into any space and the rooms run with two game masters who help with clues and hints if anyone is struggling.

These fun games offer chances to use cognitive thinking and reasoning skills, as well as encourage team building with a healthy dose of competitive spirit!

There are two games to choose from:

“The Unfortunate Passing of Pliant McTwist: A Murder Mystery”

and

“The Monster Mash”

If you’d like a chance to host one of these family friendly and child appropriate traveling mystery rooms, please call (508) 641-5336 or email me at ryanstalltales@hotmail.com
