Starting the final Raising A Reader this fiscal year on Thursday! If you want to partake you should register and come and enjoy! Not a lot of traveling this week, but sometimes that’s really nice. Plus, I get to visit the Plymouth Early Childhood Center – a school I actually worked at when it was located on Mt. Pleasant St in Plymouth. It was the third school I was employed at after the Discovery Center and then working at the Head Start program in Plymouth. I still get to see a few of the people I worked with some twenty years ago. As the saying goes, You can never go home again” but let me tell you, it feels fantastic to visit!

The Book Love show last week was fantastic and thank you to the huge turnout – hopefully we’ll do it again real soon! Anyone on the Cape should make your way to Truro on Tuesday morning. An exciting experience brought to you by Big Ryan’s Tall Tales! Everyone loves Mystery Rooms and now children 7-16 can partake in a real life mystery! These Traveling Mystery Rooms are open to all ages (ages 7-9 with parental assistance) and include riddles, observation and memorization puzzles, physical challenges, as well as games promoting math and geography!

I have been getting a lot of inquiries about how the rooms run and what kind of space is required. I can fit into any space and the rooms run with two game masters who help with clues and hints if anyone is struggling.

These fun games offer chances to use cognitive thinking and reasoning skills, as well as encourage team building with a healthy dose of competitive spirit!

There are two games to choose from:

“The Unfortunate Passing of Pliant McTwist: A Murder Mystery”

and

“The Monster Mash”
