My daughter turned 17 this past Sunday. It really does seem unreal, but I love seeing the quick-witted, beautiful, and smart little lady turn into a full-grown person. People always ask what I am doing for the summer. I tell them I am telling my tales. I know I do that all year long, but summer is a different kind of beast. I don’t just tell my tales, I do it every day, multiple times a day! It’s an amazing non-stop ride from the end of June to the end of August. It’s so much fun traveling all over MA to see all the excited little faces ready to have storytelling fun!

Last week, every Mystery Room was busting at the seams! We had a full group in Carver where the winning team just happened to a member whose birthday it was! So, an added bonus for the newly 8 year old! Also, in Attleboro, we had a self described Mystery Room fanatic shower praise on the game of The Unfortunate Passing of Pliant McTwist: A Murder Mystery.

This week, I have a full week of Big Ryan shows as well as an Alien Escape Mystery Room in Kingston! While Kingston’s game is full, there will be plenty of chances to join us coming up in the fall!

Whew! The insanity of last week was exhilarating and exhausting! I had such a great time visiting the friends who came to the Kingston Library and Norwell Library – and there were so many of you! About to embark on another fun summer week! While I get to visit all of the Magical Beginnings this week, I am also able to squeeze in a few public shows! North Andover happens in the park in the middle of the town and I have been enjoying being able visit every year!

Unfortunately, it looks as though the Norwell Library Traveling Mystery Room will be re-scheduled for the autumn as we are having trouble gathering together a group of detectives!

This week is a wild one with a whole barrage of events! I am joining the teachers at the Springboard School for not only a training but a family event! I am continuing the Holmes Library Raising A Reader but also beginning a Paul Pratt Library session this week! Join us by registering today! Either one! I am also happy to be at the Corn Festival this Saturday since it was canceled this past September. It’s always a blast so make sure to come and enjoy!

The best part of the week for me will be the Mystery Room I am bringing to Scituate! This is the first of the many rooms booked this month (please check the Upcoming Page show for others scheduled bookings) Join us for a great time trying to earn your totem and take over the town of Bloodhaven! It’s a great way to get into the spirit of the season!
