November 2015

blurry me

It took me a while to upload these photos from the fantastic show that happened on Halloween on the cape. It was amazing – and the costumes were such fun to see! Thank you to the Snow Library for inviting me out and I’m not sure who had more fun – audience or me!

I am most thankful for having an occupation where I receive emails like this:

“Hi Ryan,

I’m a nanny to two little ones and awhile back we finally saw you at the Corn Festival in Norwell. I wanted to say that your performance was amazing! These kids have a hard time making it through a regular story time or class, but when they saw you, they had the best time. I have never seen them so into a performance before! They were laughing and dancing along. I loved seeing them enjoying themselves so much and am excited that I have the opportunity to take the younger one to another of your performances in December. I just wanted to let you know that you have a great show and that the kids absolutely loved you.”

Thanks!
Stephanie

Thank you, Stephanie, for taking the time to write – it was extremely appreciated!

It must be so strange to children to experience a new baby coming into the household. I wonder how they process it in their innocent minds when they see the baby move inside the mother’s “belly”. I know we tried to answer all of Alexandra’s questions as honestly but as delicately as possible. It’s not always easy…

I swear just yesterday I was tucking this little girl into her crib – and this boy could fit into the crook of my arm. When did they get so big?

this week

A new week begins and I gear up for a fun week of shows including a visit to Quincy, to the Thomas Crane Library, where I can tell some stories once again to a great crowd. I enjoy visiting places multiple times through the years – or even annually – so that I can see some of the same people and catch up with the friends I’ve made over the years.

Also, if you would like a show for the winter, or even the new year, please give me a call at (508) 641-5336 anytime as I am booking now!

Here is the storytelling schedule for this week:

  • Monday: Oxford Public Library @10:30am
  • Tuesday: Jack N’ Jill Preschool @6:30pm
  • Saturday: Thomas Crane Public Library, Quincy @10:30am

Both libraries are open to the public so I hope to see some friends there! Please check the Upcoming Shows page for more information on all of these shows.
