After the Show

I can cook like a little 8 year old chef.  I make hotdogs like nobody’s business!  Spaghetti?  Yup, I can make a sweet bowl of pasta for you!  That’s about it… no wait!  Cereal!  That’s cooking because you’re mixing two ingredients together!

Another successful year at the Early Childhood Fair in Kingston!  This year we lucked out with the weather – it was a rainy, dreary kind of day – perfect for coming out to hear stories!  I was able to tell a classic, a favorite of mine, to the great crowd.  Abiyoyo! Thanks to everyone who came out to hear the stories!

What a wonderful and amazing event!  What I really liked was seeing all of the characters walking around – straight from the pages of some of our favorite literature!  Paddington was there, Stelleluna was hanging around, Curious George was there and even some of the Wild Things were having a rumpus!  It was a great time!  II even had a couple of the patrons tell me after that I was the “best part” of the event – which is a huge compliment seeing as my competition was the very talented children’s librarian staff and the characters mentioned above!  And yes, if you look at the picture above you can see my daughter and son (sitting together) in the front row.

PIC1815

Anyone who knows or who has asked Big Ryan can tell you that he is one of the biggest Hulk fans there is.  He spotted this at his local library – and he said it made him smile.  So he wanted to share it with you for this week’s picture.  Now, go read or Hulk may SMASH!

The Plympton Halifax Express ran an article on my Preschool Building Stories that took place in November at the Holmes Library.  I know I had a blast but it’s nice when you get a letter thank you for doing your job.  Even better, it’s nice when your job is trying to get people to enjoy telling stories more and more!

I remember being a young kid seeing the kids from my school get their pictures in the paper for various reasons.  Sports, events… I was always jealous.  I wanted to do something that would get my picture in the paper.  Now, I have been in the paper quite a few times and I have to say, I feel like that little kid again everytime I see a pic of myself in print, this time, proud that I made it into the paper.

The clip above is from a paper in NH where I was in early March this year.  Thank you to my Aunt who not only saw the pic – but cut it out and sent it to me.

Here is the awesome crowd of children waiting for me to start my show at the Independence Mall today – and when I began a whole lot more came!  It was fantastic!  What a turn out!  Even better – I put up a “password” on my Facebook page to say to me after the show for a prize and a great number of kids did it!  Thanks for that!  I’ll be doing it again and again – so if you haven’t liked my Facebook page yet – click here – and do it today!

The Enterprise did a nice spread of my show from the Bridgewater Library on October 19th.  Check it out by clicking the image above!

I had a stellar crowd at the library tonight – especially since my favorite little audience member was in the crowd… Alexandra!  She came with me and my wife to have some Halloween fun!

I really do enjoy this time of year!  The weather being colder and the crowds are much more colorful – you know, seeing as they are in costume!
