I am hosting a 4-week Building Stories event at the Plymouth Library starting this Saturday at 1:00. You can call the library to register or register right on the website! If you have an aspiring author in grades 1-5 who would like to join in and have a fantastic time doing some creative writing and games make sure you contact the library today!

I am heading out to the Cranberry Harvest Festival this weekend – one of my favorite annual events that I have had the privilege to attend!  This fantastic festival boasts all sorts family friendly activities such as face painting, duck boats, jugglers – and a trip to the bog will be both entertaining and educational!  Seeing the hard working people collect the cranberries and transport them into trucks is fascinating – and every child tries to climb the gigantic mound of loose sand to see who can be king of the hill!

I will be at the event all day doing shows at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00 – so please come by and say hello!  Stick around to laugh along with me as I tell my tales! Please click on the image above for more information!  Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Here is the final week of summer shows and while I am looking forward to the small break afforded me in September I am always sad to see the summer events end! I had probably a total of 70 or more lobster rolls… and I’m not kidding – those things are so delicious! Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year, though, so all I can envision are pumpkin and the taste of pumpkin in everything, cool fall nights and the leaves changing. It gets me so excited!

The Hulk themed Building Stories at the Kingston Library is this Monday! It starts at 6:00pm and if you have yet to sign up – no worries, there is still time! If you’re interested please call the Children’s Room – and here’s a link to their site right here!

YRUMP

Birding has taken a small break over the summer – due to so little free time and more foliage providing more cover for our feathered friends – but I decided to share a few shots of these two. A Yellow-Rumped Warbler and a Royal Tern.

I can’t imagine this summer being any better! I’ve been so busy but also so enjoying this past couple of months! My favorite part thus far is being able to have my daughter join me for some of the library shows. Tonight, while saying goodnight, she told me she really loved the Drive-In. This was fantastic to hear because it is a tradition to visit the Wellfleet Drive-In – one that I am pleased to have my daughter join me.

We’re still scheduling for the Hulk themed Building Stories at the Kingston Library! It takes place on Aug 24th at 6:00. If you’re interested please call the Children’s Room – and here’s a link to their site right here!

I have been telling “George and the Flying Bicycle” where Amy has to save George from his brand new bicycle that is now floating away.

I am always so thankful to get cards from the schools and children that I get to share my stories with. Even if it’s from the teachers or the children themselves – the card above is from a fantastic school in Groton that I love to visit and the card below the children made themselves.

It’s never expected and always appreciated to get cards like these – knowing that the schools regard the shows past how much the children enjoy them. I always give my 100% at shows and will continue to do so forever so it’s nice when I get a reminder about how much

It’s always enjoyable to start your day with a laugh. Oh, how every occupation has it’s woes.
