Receiving emails like this never gets old:

These kids have a hard time making it through a regular story time or class, but when they saw you, they had the best time. I have never seen them so into a performance before! They were laughing and dancing along. I loved seeing them enjoying themselves so much and am excited that I have the opportunity to take the younger one to another of your performances in December. I just wanted to let you know that you have a great show and that the kids absolutely loved you.

A new year, a new adventure!  I look forward to another year of being Big Ryan and sharing my stories with the children all over!  Woo Hoo!  Now, who had Chinese food?

I am heading out to the Cranberry Harvest Festival this weekend – one of my favorite annual events that I have had the privilege to attend!  This fantastic festival boasts all sorts family friendly activities such as face painting, duck boats, jugglers – and a trip to the bog will be both entertaining and educational!  Seeing the hard working people collect the cranberries and transport them into trucks is fascinating – and every child tries to climb the gigantic mound of loose sand to see who can be king of the hill!

Click the image above to read about why libraries are still one of the most important places we have in out communities!  I love libraries… always will, I think.  Funny enough, on our honeymoon to Hawaii my wife and I were strolling around and I noticed the public library.  We ventured inside and it was very comforting to see the place bustling.

The snow has played a bit of havoc on the schedule this week.  The Preschool Building Stories for today has been cancelled – but will be rescheduled as soon as I get in touch with the librarian.  My Steeple School show on Tuesday, and even the Growth Unlimited show I had scheduled for yesterday and today are being moved to other days.  No worries though – people always work together when the weather hits us hard!
