Message from Big Ryan

Have a Safe and Happy Halloween Everyone!

 Pumpkins 1

Yes, it’s not even October and I already have pumpkins.  Pumkins are one of my favorite things in this whole world and I usually end up with at least 15 before Halloween.  As you can see here I seek out every kind of pumpkin there is.  I have every color – and more!  Like this one… did you know there were light blue pumpkins?  I didn’t.

Of course my favorite is the Cindrella Pumpkins and I was sure lucky today getting one of the best Cinderella Pumpkins I have ever seen!

Here is a few close up pics of all the pumpkins – I hope you have enjoyed this September – it went really fast!

Nicholas

I thought I wouild introduce everyone to my nephew – Nicholas – who happens to love his Uncle “Big” Ryan.  What a cute kid, huh?

Now that summer is winding down (ugh, that’s so sad – this summer went so fast!) I am scheduling for the Fall.  Back to school shows as well as Fall themed shows with Imagination Trips about being an Autumn leaf – and of course the “Scary, but not too scary, Tall Tales for Children” which has a been a huge hit year after year!

I love September – I love pumpkins – I love the crisp, cool air in the Autumn mornings, but most of all I love the stories I tell in the Fall most of all!  Call (508) 641 5336 – or email me – to schedule a Fall show today!

Lee Parker let me know that the show I did in May is up on their site – complete with a really great slideshow (accompanied by a Big Ryan classic song!)  Click on the picture above see it!

My trip to the zoo – usually a wonderful experience – was a very wet one this time around.  We left Plymouth, after the Building Stories Workshop at Kiskadee Coffee Company, to the zoo where it seemed some questionable weather arrived with us.  As we entered the zoo we were met with a WALL OF RAIN rushing right at us!  Literally, A WALL OF RAIN!  It wasn’t raining where we were standing – it was raining only a few feet away – and it was coming right at us!  We, my wife and I, tried to find shelter under a tree but with no avail.  Once we reached the Earth Building, where my show takes place, the show was going to go on – just inside – until they lost power.  I was told we are going to re-schedule and I can’t wait to go back – but what a crazy trip to the zoo it was!  I will keep you posted on when the show will be – hope to see many of you return, hopefully in much nicer weather!

Enterprise 1

This here is the COVER to the latest Enterprise!  Yes, that is me, I made the cover!  That was a pretty nice surprise.  If you want to see the article just click on the image above to go to the website.  The picture is of me doing my storytelling thing!  It was taken on Thursday night at the Raynham Public Library.  The crowd there was wonderful and heard “Morphing Beans” and “Can’t Sleep” with Edgar and Charlie.  The headline next to my pictuire has nothing to do with me.  Honest…

Enterprise 2

Everyone have a safe and delicious 4th!  Eats lots and then play softball – that’s what I am planning on doing!

My summer weeks are becoming increasingly full.  I still have a few August dates left but every morning in month of July is completely booked, which is really great!  There are a few afternoons in July free – so please don’t hesitate if you’d like to fit a Big Ryan storytelling in!  Can’t wait to visit everyone and tell my summer tales!

Please check the Upcoming Shows page to see when I will be in your area.

I had to go into Federal Court yesterday as I was sequestered for Jury Duty.  But, alas, I was not chosen for a case and was sent home.  That’s very good news for everyone who kept their scheduled dates with me – and I thank you for not cancelling! – I will see you at our scheduled dates and times.  As for the picture…

As I was cleaning the yard today I came across the biggest frog I have ever seen in my yard.  He’s HUGE!  I had to show you… here’s a closer look:
