Pic of the Week

I can’t believe it!  Really, I just can’t!  I haven’t had much time to get to my office this summer – sadly – so I haven’t been able to update my site much.  I do have a little time tonight where I can remind everyone to sign up for the Building Stories Workshop at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library starting on the 23rd at 1:00pm – it only runs 2 weeks – but it will still be a ton of fun!  Make sure you call today!

I will also start a Building Stories Workshop at the Kingston Library on the 30th at 5:30pm.  This will run the full 4 weeks – it’s a great opportunity to get your kids into the spirit of fun, creative writing and ready for school to begin (in week or so after the workshop ends… can you believe it?)

Keep in mind – take a look at the Upcoming Shows Page for all the remaining Summer shows – try to make it to them all!  The pics are of the Johnny Appleseed statue at the Johhny Appleseed rest stop in Leominster.  The pic below is because I can’t help myself sometimes…

Today, Friday, June 6th is national doughnut day – and Dunkin’ Donuts is giving away a free one when you buy a beverage!  Come doughnut lovers – UNITE!  Let’s all have some delicious sweet dough together.  What’s your favorite doughnut?  Say so on my FB page here! Like the page while you’re there!

I remember being a young kid seeing the kids from my school get their pictures in the paper for various reasons.  Sports, events… I was always jealous.  I wanted to do something that would get my picture in the paper.  Now, I have been in the paper quite a few times and I have to say, I feel like that little kid again everytime I see a pic of myself in print, this time, proud that I made it into the paper.

The clip above is from a paper in NH where I was in early March this year.  Thank you to my Aunt who not only saw the pic – but cut it out and sent it to me.

Spider

This is a barn spider. It’s huge and it’s right outside my kitchen window. I wanted to destroy it’s web and relocate this humongous arachnid – but after my search on the interweb revealed that this is the same kind of spider that Charlotte from Charlotte’s Web is based on… well, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. I am going to wait until morning – if the web spells out “Big Ryan” then it can stay – otherwise this little non-bug is out of here!

I have been to this town many times over to tell my tales and I have never had the opportunity to really look around to see what a great view of Boston there is! Yesterday I had a chance to see this amazing scene just outside the school. Click on the pic to see the whole thing.

So happy to see that the Mayflower is back in Plymouth where it belongs!

Watch out for wayward rocks while painting lines in a parking lot!

Which reminds me – if you have yet to like my FB page be sure to do so!  I am always putting up great pics and reminders for all my shows!  Help me reach 400 by the summer’s end!

Been very busy – but also had time to check out the Chickadee Family I have living in my bird sanctuary.  I thought I would record it to share with you – make sure you watch to the end to see the baby birds in their nest.  Click the pic above for the video
