This week…

this week

I am pretty sure that this week will be plenty busy – even without many shows.  I am still entertaining at a school on Tuesday – but after that it’s vacation time!  My daughter will be home with me for two weeks straight.  I’m sure my wife is cringing at the thought of all the trouble the two of us can get in!  Of course, Thursday is Christmas, if you celebrate it or not I hope you have a wonderful day.  I know that I still get excited to see what’s under the tree for me that morning from the ones I love!

  • Tuesday – Blue River Montessori School

That’s all for this week folks!  A new round of Preschool Building Stories is set to begin in January and I hope all that can come will attend!  It should be a blast!

Places I will be visiting this week:

  1. Duxbury

this week

I am going to Bridgewater Schools late in the week – very excited about that – some of my favorite people are there.  It’s always good to see friends you rarely get to visit, especially around the holidays!  Speaking of which, I hope everyone is having a stress-free holiday season.  One of my favorite things about celebrating Christmas is coming home every-night to a lit up Christmas Tree.  There’s hardly anything as calming as a Christmas Tree lighting your living room.  Anyways, on to the schedule!

  • Monday – Bright Horizons
  • Thursday – George Mitchell Elementary School
  • Friday – George Mitchell Elementary School
  • Saturday – Plymouth Police Department Christmas Party

Another week of no public shows – but they are coming in January!  So keep checking back for dates!  Also, if you’d like for me to visit your school or library let the powers that be know!  That’s the best way to have me visit your neck of the woods!

Places I will be visiting this week:

  1. Bedford, NH
  2. Bridgewater, MA
  3. Bridgewater, MA
  4. Plymouth, MA

I am super excited about an opportunity that has presented itself this week – something that I really can’t discuss at the moment – and mainly because there isn’t very much to talk about right now anyways, but just know it’s a very amazing opportuinty that I hope works out in the end.  Also, heading into a very busy Decemeber week I was already rushing between shows today (Sunday) where I started out in Rockland and then to Newton.  I have to come to really enjoy commutes between shows – seeing all of the different towns and being able to travel all over Massacusetts.  Still hate traffic though… I don’t think I will ever get used sitting in traffic.  My schedule is as follows below:

  • Sunday – Christmas Party at the VFW in Rockland
  • Sunday – Christmas Party in Newton
  • Tuesday – Christmas Tales at LPC
  • Wednesday – Lil’ Munchkins Preschool
  • Friday – Triumph Head Start

This week there are no public shows but no worries – I have plenty of things on the horizon for everyone looking to see me!  Also, if you’re curious on how to get me to come to your neck of the woods – the best thing to do is suggest to your local library or your child’s school and tell them that they should invite me to come tell my tales there!  Nothing speaks louder than words!  Let them know you’d like to have me visit your town!

Places I will be visiting this week:

  1. Rockland
  2. Newton
  3. New Bedford
  4. Scituate
  5. Taunton

I have a nice, slow week this week.  While I love working and telling my tales sometimes I enjoy a slow week to get other things done.  I am working on getting the new 2015 brochures out and getting my final Christmas shopping done.  So, this is a welcome break.  I still have a few shows though – so check out the schedule below:

  • Thursday: Provincetown Elementary School
  • Friday: Week 4 (Final) of Building Stories at the John Curtis Library in Hanover (Open to the Public)
  • Saturday: Carver Elementary School Winter Wonderland – shows at 10:30 and 12:00

As always, the Preschool Building Stories Workshops are open to the public and all are welcome to join whether you have come to earlier session or not! Please check the Upcoming Shows page for more information on all of these shows.

This week I will be filling myself up with cranberry-sauce – because it is delicious! That and plenty of dark meat from my Mother-in-Law’s amazingly tasty turkey.  I do love me some grand Thanksgiving meals!  I hope everyone out there is spending time with your favorite loved ones and eating until you explode with happiness over being able to have times like this!  Other than that I do have a few shows this week, including the finale of the Preschool Building Stories in Halifax on Black Friday.  Instead of feeding the consumerism machine come and spend time with your family at the Holmes Library finding some new ways to have fun reading together!  I promise you it is a grand, fun time!  Anyways, the schedule for my week is below:

  • Wednesday: Bright Horizons
  • Thursday: THANKSGIVING!
  • Friday: Week 4 (Final) of Building Stories at the Holmes Public Library in Halifax (Open to the Public)

I know it’s sort of late for a “This Week” but since my week technically doesn’t start until my first show of the week – which is tomorrow – then I should still be good to go.  So here it is – my week’s rundown of all the shows I am doing:

All of these shows are free to the public to attend and hope to see everyone there!  Make sure you come early!  All of these shows celebrate the fall and back to school!  Click on the show you’d like to attend for more information.

Also, I have been invited back to the Cranberry Harvest Celebration in October – this event is one of my favorites by far!  Click the link for more info on this as well – and put it on your calendar because this is an all day family event that you don’t want to miss!

The last vacation I went on was my honeymoon… eight years ago.  Amazingly, I usually don’t think about vacations.  I’m not the kind of person who feels he needs a vacation – my life is pretty fun as it is – but my wife convinced me it was time to take our little family to New Hampshire to visit Storyland.  I have to say – it was a blast!  I found out my daughter is a fan of rollercoaters and tea cups.  Now, of course, it is time to get back to work!  The latter end of  the week off was fun and all – but Summer is just getting started around these parts!  What follows below os my hectic schedule this week – mark your calendars!

  • Monday: Holmes Public Library, Halifax @ 6:30pm
  • Tuesday: Bourne Library @ 10:00am
  • Tuesday: Hull Family Network @ 6:30pm
  • Wednesday: Bellingham Library @ 11:00am

  • Friday, July 4th: Bridgewater Festival @12:00pm

Having Monday off I had the day with my children… and still getting used to saying “children” rather than just child.  My boy is doing fantastic (except for a stuffy nose) and everyday he is growing before our very eyes.  I am in Sagamore both Tuesday and Wednesday for my annual visit to the fantastic Rainbow Preschool!  Thursday will be a long – but fun – day as I head to Greenfield, NH for a morning show – then come right back to Mass for the start of Preschool Building Stories at the Plympton Library!  That reminds me, I must call the director tomorrow to see how the sign-up is going… if you want to join us on Thursday please call the Plympton Library to sign up as space is limited!  Friday I am off to Maynard – a place I have yet to visit – to perform at the Green Meadow School!

The pic above is of the Great Blue Heron I saw after returning from the New Bedford shows this last Saturday.  I have been trying to capture a glimpse of one since I started birding, so this was a HUGE thrill for me.  Anyways, below are listed the public events I am doing – so please check it out!  Hope to see you soon!

  • Plympton Libary – Building Stories Week 1 (Call to sign up!)
