I will be performing at the Cranberry Harvest Fesitval on both Saturday AND Sunday!  I hope everyone comes – it is an amazingly grand time!  Saturday is supposed to be a bit wet outside but, to me, that only makes events that much better.  Shorter lines = more time for fun!  But, like I said, I will be there on both Sat. and Sun. with shows at 11:00am, 12:00pm and 3:00pm.  I will be in the children’s area – so come on by and hear some tales!  It will be so much fun!

Click on the cranberries for more information!

Come to the Kingston Mall today at 1:00pm where I will be performing!  I will be telling stories and making all the kiddos laugh with my puppet friends!  You know, the usual amazing show.  If I do say so myself.  Click the image abe for more information.

I know it’s sort of late for a “This Week” but since my week technically doesn’t start until my first show of the week – which is tomorrow – then I should still be good to go.  So here it is – my week’s rundown of all the shows I am doing:

All of these shows are free to the public to attend and hope to see everyone there!  Make sure you come early!  All of these shows celebrate the fall and back to school!  Click on the show you’d like to attend for more information.

Also, I have been invited back to the Cranberry Harvest Celebration in October – this event is one of my favorites by far!  Click the link for more info on this as well – and put it on your calendar because this is an all day family event that you don’t want to miss!

The weekend of the Corn Festival is here and I am super excited to be a part of it!  Today was a blast as I had two shows full of enthusiastic children waiting to hear some hilarious tales!  I will also be there tomorrow (Sunday) scheduled for 2 shows at 12:00 and 2:00 – I will have ALL of my puppets with me and telling some of my favorite tales!  Click on the pic above, which, incidentally, is the corn box – an entire box filled with corn that the kids can dive into and jump around.  It’s so much fun!

The Crazy group

The final workshop in the 4-week event has wrapped up.  This group might have been my favorite thus far with many, many fantastic stories pouring out of these kids that were both creative and well defined.  Each group seems to be more and more enthusiastic and that’s one of the best things to see!  I always look forward to doing a new workshop – and groups like these keep me wanting to never stop!

It may be interesting to learn that I did not read this book in school.  I was never given the opportunity to read this classic in Jr or regular High School.  I’m sort of glad of that fact.  I’m not sure of I would have taken to reading it with such ferocity as I did when a friend recommended the book to me now.  I loved the tale of a community inflicted with sameness and the struggle that grew inside a little boy when faced with the knowledge of the world before the differences were disregarded.  Every twist made me want to read further – and even though I adore books with more open ended finales – I wish this one gave me a more concrete idea of where Jonas and the little one ended up.  I have heard that this book is a series – and I may have to look into the other books as well.  But as far as I am concerned, I had a blast discovering this classic.

I know there is also a movie coming – but do yourself a favor and read the book first.

Here it is, folks!  The Hingham Library show will be happening at 2:00pm.  Be sure to get there early!  The show is always packed – and always entertaining!  Also, I will be giving a special hint on my Facebook to a password for a special prize to be given out at the end of the show!  If you haven’t liked my FB page – go do it NOW!  I will give out the password early tomorrow morning!

Also, keep note that I will be doing the Plymouth Library on Friday! This is my hometown library so, of course, it is my favorite show of the summer! See everyone soon!

I can’t believe it!  Really, I just can’t!  I haven’t had much time to get to my office this summer – sadly – so I haven’t been able to update my site much.  I do have a little time tonight where I can remind everyone to sign up for the Building Stories Workshop at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library starting on the 23rd at 1:00pm – it only runs 2 weeks – but it will still be a ton of fun!  Make sure you call today!

I will also start a Building Stories Workshop at the Kingston Library on the 30th at 5:30pm.  This will run the full 4 weeks – it’s a great opportunity to get your kids into the spirit of fun, creative writing and ready for school to begin (in week or so after the workshop ends… can you believe it?)

Keep in mind – take a look at the Upcoming Shows Page for all the remaining Summer shows – try to make it to them all!  The pics are of the Johnny Appleseed statue at the Johhny Appleseed rest stop in Leominster.  The pic below is because I can’t help myself sometimes…

The last vacation I went on was my honeymoon… eight years ago.  Amazingly, I usually don’t think about vacations.  I’m not the kind of person who feels he needs a vacation – my life is pretty fun as it is – but my wife convinced me it was time to take our little family to New Hampshire to visit Storyland.  I have to say – it was a blast!  I found out my daughter is a fan of rollercoaters and tea cups.  Now, of course, it is time to get back to work!  The latter end of  the week off was fun and all – but Summer is just getting started around these parts!  What follows below os my hectic schedule this week – mark your calendars!

  • Monday: Holmes Public Library, Halifax @ 6:30pm
  • Tuesday: Bourne Library @ 10:00am
  • Tuesday: Hull Family Network @ 6:30pm
  • Wednesday: Bellingham Library @ 11:00am

and

  • Friday, July 4th: Bridgewater Festival @12:00pm

For more information on these or any of my other future shows please visit the Upcoming Shows page – link at the top of the page or right at the side.  See you guys soon!
