I realize that I have not updated the site in a while – so sorry – with Antone being born and March being extremely busy I hardly had time to do anything other than work and play with my son and daughter.  Just know that I have A LOT of upcoming shows and I am having a blast!

The pages I have shown here are from a school I visited in early March.  The children have an opportunity to eat lunch with the presenter – which that week they had 4 – they choose their favorite presenter and fill out an application to be chosen.  The organizers then pick about a dozen children to come and eat lunch with me.

I have all the applications – there were about 50 – and I read through them all.  I picked out some of my favorites here to present to you.  Some of them I chose because I was amazed at the penmanship of some of the children – others made me laugh, especially “Isabella” who informed us that she would be willing to give up her iPad for an entire year just to eat lunch with me.  Probably the most adorable thing I have ever read.

Take a look at the Upcoming Shows page as it has now been updated.  There are quite a few new shows added and Summer is coming fast – if you are looking to schedule something – please feel free to call me at (508) 641-5336.

A&A

My son was born last Tuesday at 8:30 in the morning and he is doing just fine.  My daughter is thrilled to have a little brother and it shows here where she fell asleep while snuggling with him as she watched a movie.  Welcome my little boy… you were a long time coming!

I always appreciate getting feedback and letters expressing how much the audience members liked the show.  Here are a couple of letters I recieved from a school I visited that were my favorites:

Title: Shark vs. Train
Author: Chris Barton
Illustrator: Tom Lichtenheld
Publisher: Little Brown & Co

This hilarious and surprisingly accurate storybook was introduced to me by the librarian at the Norwell Library.  When I asked her what books were her favorite to read she immediately went to the bookcase that housed this gem and plucked it off the shelf.  I leafed through the book giggled my way through it.  Not only is it extremely funny – but the ending is so perfect as well!  I love idea of this story and think it’s a perfect read for anyday day of the week!

So, my rescheduled show for the Sherborn Library will be happening tomorrow (January 7th) at 4:00pm – if you are in the area you should come by!  Also, a few of the new sessions of Preschool Building Stories are starting up this month:

Carver Library sessions begin THIS Wednesday at 4:30pm

Hinham Library sessions begin on Tuesday the 14th at 3:30pm

Holmes Library in Halifax sessions begin on Friday the 17th at 11:30am

Call the selected library to reseve a spot!  Space is extremely limited!  These parent/child workshops run for 4 weeks (you can come to just one week – or you can come to all four!)  Make sure to check my Upcoming Shows page to see other times and details.  If you have any questions you can email me directly at ryanstalltales@hotmail.com

Here’s to a happy and fun 2014!  Can’t wait to see everyone at a show!

I am going to be at the Sharon Library tomorrow (Dec 28th) at 1:00 for my last public show of the year!  You will have to wait until 2014 to see me if you miss this one!  Make sure you don’t!  Granted, it is only a week or so until the ball drops – but STILL!  Make sure you come to the Sharon Library!  Click the pic above for the link.
